Atrium Health Lake Norman is a state-of-the-art health care campus offering high-quality health care to Lake Norman and the surrounding area.
It includes an acute care hospital, emergency department and specialty care center, all wrapped into one convenient location at the intersection of Westmoreland Road and US 21 (Statesville Road) in Cornelius, NC. Atrium Health Lake Norman strives to deliver unrivaled clinical care, the highest level of support and a patient-first experience, in an environment designed for wellness.
Built in serene shades of brown and green and nestled just a couple of miles from the shoreline, the campus is the center of our care in the Lake Norman region.
Hospital and emergency care
The 171,000-square-foot hospital is the heart of Atrium Health Lake Norman. It features:
- 36 patient care beds, including 12 dedicated women’s and children’s care beds
- 8-room emergency department open 24/7
- 3 operating rooms, including a cesarean (C-section) delivery room
- 2 newborn nursery stations
- 2 triage rooms
- 1 procedure room
- Imaging services, including MRI, CT scan, X-ray, ultrasound and more
- Laboratory services
Whether you’re having a baby, undergoing surgery or need emergency care at any hour of the day or night, our expert physicians, nurses and support staff will be by your side.
Other medical services
The Atrium Health Lake Norman campus also includes a medical office building with specialized services for you and your family. The building will consist of the following services, over 2 phases.
- Phase 1 (Opening fall 2025)
- Cardiology, vascular care and cardiac rehabilitation from Atrium Health Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute
- Orthopedics from Atrium Health Musculoskeletal Institute
- Women's care
- Pulmonary care
- Outpatient lab
