Some of our locations have temporary changes to hours. To make an in-person or virtual appointment, call your healthcare provider. If you need help finding care, call 704-468-8888.

If you develop shortness of breath or pain with breathing, we ask that you do a virtual video visit so a provider can assess your illness.

Here are some recommendations to help with your symptoms, including over-the-counter options:

  • Be sure to rest and stay well hydrated (drink plenty of water). Keep in mind that cold fluids may worsen your cough, so it is best to drink room temperature or warm beverages instead.
  • You may take an expectorant/cough suppressant combination as needed for cough and congestion.
  • Take an antihistamine/decongestant combination for your allergy symptoms and congestion. If you have uncontrolled blood pressure, then you should avoid the decongestant component.
  • You may use allergy eye drops for itchy/watery eyes.
  • Use nasal saline spray as needed for nasal congestion.
  • Take Acetaminophen as needed for pain and/or fever..
  • You may also find relief from hot liquids (like tea), warm saltwater gargles, and throat lozenges.
  • Monitor your symptoms. Viral infections typically last 7-14 days, the cough may linger even longer.
  • If you have further questions, we encourage you to call North Carolina’s COVID-19 Helpline at 1-866-426-3821. The service is staffed by North Carolina Poison Control 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We recommend you review the general precautions to protect yourself and your family from COVID-19.
