When your provider isn’t available, you can still get relief. Whether you want to visit a medical professional in person, talk to one online, or video chat from home, it’s easy to get quick help for any number of conditions.

Virtual Visit

This 24/7 online care option allows you to video chat with a medical professional – from home or on the go** – using a smartphone, tablet or computer with an internet connection. The average Virtual Visit lasts about 10 minutes. So, you and your family members can get a diagnosis or a prescription quickly.

Note: If a Virtual Visit can’t provide you care, you won’t be charged and you’ll receive instructions for follow up.

Urgent Care

Atrium Health’s Urgent Care locations are staffed by board-certified providers in order to treat minor illnesses and injuries that can’t wait. You can visit one of our 28 locations to receive same-day, in-person care, or reserve your spot online at a time that works for you.

Looking for child-friendly urgent care? In addition to our regular locations, we have three, dedicated pediatric locations staffed by trained pediatric providers to help your child through any minor health scare.

Emergency Care

For serious medical emergencies, our emergency rooms are open 24/7 and staffed by providers board-certified in emergency medicine. If you are experiencing a life-threatening condition, call 911 right away.

Additionally, we have an emergency department dedicated to children, providing access to specialized pediatric care in a family-friendly environment. If you need to reach the Children’s Emergency Department directly, call 704-446-KIDS (5437). If your child has come into contact with or swallowed a poisonous substance, call the Poison Center at 800-222-1222.
