Urgent care video visits from Atrium Health let you have a live video chat with a qualified health care provider, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All you need is a camera-enabled tablet, smart phone or computer with an internet connection.

To start a visit, create a MyAtriumHealth account or sign in to an existing one.

Video visits are available to individuals of all ages, from newborns to adults, as long as you’re in North Carolina, South Carolina or Georgia* at the time of your visit.

*Video visits are now being offered in Georgia. These services are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays.

Insurance coverage varies, and services may be subject to any applicable copays, coinsurance and deductibles within your health plan. Please contact your insurance provider for more information on your specific plan coverage.

Urgent care video visits can be used to treat a wide range of minor conditions, including:


  • Animal and insect bites
  • Cold or flu symptoms
  • Cough
  • Ear and eye infections
  • Fever
  • Newborn worries, including feeding
  • Minor cuts, burns or skin rashes
  • Sinus infections and allergies

If you need emergency medical care, please call 911 or visit the nearest emergency room right away.

  • If you have proxy access to your child or dependent in your MyAtriumHealth account:
    • Log in and select the account for your child or dependent.

  • If you do not have proxy access for your child or dependent in your MyAtriumHealth account:
    1. Select the option “I don’t have an account.”
    2. Answer a few quick questions about your location and who the visit is for.
    3. Follow the steps to sign up and start your visit.

  • If you or your dependent does not have a MyAtriumHealth account:
    1. Select the option “I don’t have an account.”
    2. Answer a few quick questions about your location and who the visit is for.

Most visits last about 15 minutes:

  1. Have a valid form of photo identification ready, like a driver’s license, military identification, passport or state -issued identification card.
  2. After you sign up for a video visit, complete the eCheck-In and then select the “Begin Video Visit” button. A waiting room will open in your web browser where you will wait until a provider is available to join.
  3. Get connected to a healthcare provider who will evaluate your symptoms and discuss treatment options with you.

After your visit, the details will be added to your electronic medical record, so your primary care doctor can connect with you seamlessly if you need follow-up care.

Yes, medications may be prescribed by the provider if they decide it to be an appropriate course of treatment. Prescriptions will be sent to the pharmacy of your choice.

Certain controlled medications may not be prescribed through Atrium Health video visits.
