On National Doctor's Day, Take Time to Thank a Physician

Every day, physicians at Atrium Health work to improve health, elevate hope and advance healing -- for all. On National Doctor's Day, take time to thank a physician for all that they do to take care of our communities.

At our most vulnerable physical, emotional and mental health moments – whether you've broken a bone, contracted an illness or are preparing to have a baby – physicians are there for us, providing the highest quality of care with a compassionate touch.

National Doctor’s Day is Saturday, March 30, but we decided to get the celebration started a day earlier. It may be said every day, but from the nurses, advanced clinical providers, staff and administration that are proud to work with you and the patients that choose you for your care, your hard work is recognized and appreciated.

Thank you!

See a slideshow above of these special messages and reach out to your physician to express your gratitude at this time. And make sure to check out Atrium Health, Levine Children’s and Levine Cancer Institute social media pages for some fun shout outs and recognitions of the doctors we know and work with every day.

About Doctor’s Day
This holiday was officially declared by the late President George H.W. Bush in 1990 to recognize the hard work and dedication physicians provide our communities every day. The proclamation read:

“All those Americans who serve as licensed physicians have engaged in years of study and training, often at great financial cost. Most endure long and unpredictable hours, and many must cope with the conflicting demands of work and family life.”
