Our Hematology-Oncology APP Fellowship is designed to better prepare advanced practice providers (APPs) for oncology practice. The comprehensive post-graduate approach offers the advantage of a guided learning experience and direct patient care within a protected learning environment, which increases provider confidence and awards a smooth transition to practice. This program will aide in the development of collaborative communication qualities and innovative research opportunities within a multidisciplinary team. This fellowship heightens oncologic specialized skill sets in a variety of practice settings. At the completion of the program, graduates are expected to seamlessly transition into an oncology setting to deliver world-class cancer care.

Hematology-Oncology APP fellows have exposure to the care of oncology patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings with rotations through subspecialized clinics. This curriculum allows APP fellows to cultivate knowledge of specific oncology diseases. The clinical rotations provide a variety of experiences within the hematologic and oncologic settings. In addition to hematologic and oncologic subspecialties, the APP fellow will have the opportunity to engage in supportive and palliative care, survivorship, pharmacy, clinical trials, infusion, pathology, radiation oncology and surgical oncology. Levine Cancer Institute provides cutting-edge cancer care throughout the region.

Fellowship Objectives:
  • Enhance knowledge of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of blood diseases and cancer
  • Collaborate with support services
  • Participate within a broad multi-modality specialty comprised of several subspecialty teams
