Hortense Turner, MSN, RN, CPE, CNE

Instructor (ADN)
Ms. Turner received her BSN from Barton College in Wilson, NC, and her Master’s Degree, in Nursing of Children, from The Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. She has practiced in various clinical areas including obstetrics, general pediatrics, pediatric critical care and pediatric and adult research. She has over 25 years of experience in nursing education and has taught classroom and/or clinical in Fundamentals of Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Pediatrics and Maternal-Newborn Nursing, in Diploma, ADN, and BSN programs. She has also taught online Master’s courses in various content areas. Ms. Turner is a Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) and Certified Nurse Educator (CNE).

Ms. Turner has two adult children and a grandson, who she adores. Her “other children” include two pit bulls and three cats.
