Kim Plemmons, DNP, RN, CNE

Ms. Plemmons began her career as a nurse at the neuroscience unit at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Her wide and varied experience includes work at Presbyterian Hospital and CMC-University in orthopedics, urology, same-day surgery recovery, maternity, oncology, post-surgical, administration and education. She became a nurse educator to share her desire to ensure quality patient care.

Ms. Plemmons came to the Louise Harkey School of Nursing in 1994. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Ms. Plemmons is a certified nurse educator by the National League of Nursing. She is also active in a number of nursing organizations and her church where she teaches Sunday School and plays in a hand bell choir.

Other interests include flower gardening and refinishing old furniture.
