The following are the most frequently asked questions about the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program.

Is this program accredited?

The Louise Harkey School of Nursing Master of Science in Nursing program is accredited by the: 

Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), 655 K Street NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC  20001 (202) 887-6791.  It is also accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).

What tracks are available?

Both Leadership and Clinical Research tracks are available.

The Louise Harkey School of Nursing is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate, baccalaureate, and master’s degrees. How long will it take to complete the MSN program?

You can complete the program in as little as 4 semesters if enrolled full time.

Are both MSN tracks completely online?

The theory portion of both tracks is completely online.  Each track requires a 45-hour clinical practicum experience. The student collaborates with faculty to select a site convenient for the student. 

Am I eligible for financial aid?

This will depend on your individual circumstances.  A large percentage of our students receive aid, which includes a mix of scholarships, loans, grants, work/study, institutional gift aid and federal financial aid.
