Lorri Connor joined Cabarrus College of Health Sciences in 2015. Lorri's career has followed her passion for college access and readiness - educating students and their families about the possibilities of college, and encouraging them to learn the process from admission to graduation. Lorri has 15 years of higher education experience focusing on admissions, financial aid, retention, and specialty/professional development training for faculty and staff. Lorri has BS in Criminal Justice from Western Carolina University and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Project Management with a concentration in Organizational Communication from Northeastern University.

In her spare time Lorri enjoys spending time with family, cooking, supporting her children at their extra-curricular sporting events, and watching NFL football (Go San Francisco 49ers!). She loves traveling back to Western North Carolina at least once a year to enjoy the peace, serenity, and simplicity of mountain life.

Kynli Smith, BS
Coordinator, Admissions and Recruitment
704-403-1556

My name is Kynli Smith and I recently relocated from across the country to North Carolina. Originally from Illinois, I received my BS in Mass Media with an emphasis in Public Relations from Southeast Missouri State University in 2014. After graduation I spent several years in the Wild West, living in Montana and Wyoming.

I have experience in higher education working in admissions and recruitment and I’m thrilled to join the Cabarrus College team. What I love most about higher education is watching the students grow. Seeing students discover their passions and potential is very rewarding.

I love to spend time with family, friends and my dog, Charlie, and cat, Willow. Traveling and trying new things is something I’m passionate about. Spending time outdoors in the mountains, on the beach or watching Chicago Cubs baseball is how I spend my summers. I’m excited for this new adventure and to call North Carolina home.
