Lorri has 15 years of higher education experience focusing on admissions, financial aid, retention, and specialty/professional development training for faculty and staff. Lorri has BS in Criminal Justice from Western Carolina University and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Project Management with a concentration in Organizational Communication from Northeastern University.

Kynli Finley, BS
Coordinator, Admissions and Recruitment

My name is Kynli Finley and I recently relocated from across the country to North Carolina. Originally from Illinois, I received my BS in Mass Media with an emphasis in Public Relations from Southeast Missouri State University in 2014. After graduation I spent several years in the Wild West, living in Montana and Wyoming.

I have experience in higher education working in admissions and recruitment and I’m thrilled to join the Cabarrus College team. What I love most about higher education is watching the students grow. Seeing students discover their passions and potential is very rewarding.

I love to spend time with family, friends and my dog, Charlie, and cat, Willow. Traveling and trying new things is something I’m passionate about. Spending time outdoors in the mountains, on the beach or watching Chicago Cubs baseball is how I spend my summers. I’m excited for this new adventure and to call North Carolina home.

Donna Bouie

My name is Donna Bouie and I joined Cabarrus College in 2018. Raised in Chicago, Illinois, I started my career fresh out of high school by working full-time as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Oncology Unit of a large research hospital. Ready to see more of the world, I enlisted in the United States Army and served our country for several years before receiving an honorable discharge. Soon after relocating to Charlotte, NC, I shifted my career focus to Business Management & Entrepreneurship. I have over 20 years of entrepreneurial and management experience with a passion for organizational effectiveness, process improvement and performance excellence. I am excited to be a part of the Cabarrus College team. My favorite part of the job is helping prospective students navigate through our application process. It is gratifying to see talented, motivated individuals set and realize their educational goals.

Away from work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, and feeling the sun on my face when playing golf, swimming, hiking or relaxing by the lake. For quiet times, I enjoy reading, writing, sewing and painting.
