On February 10, 2020 members of the Student Government Association (SGA) dropped off donation items to the patients at the Jeff Gordon Children's Center. Starting in mid-January, the SGA collected colored pencils, crayons, coloring books and new stuffed animals from students, faculty and staff for patients so they’d have items for Valentine’s day.

“Children at Jeff Gordon Children’s Center have been taken out of the normal routines and many times this can be very scary for them,” said Jamie Ferguson, SGA President who helped organize the fundraiser. “This was an opportunity for us to donate supplies that could be given to patients during this difficult time. These items will be help make their experience at the hospital less scary.”

Through the efforts of the students, faculty and staff, Cabarrus College was able to deliver 146 items to the patients!

The SGA thanks the Cabarrus College community for their continued support in giving back to the community.
