Program Mission

The general education requirement of the curricula is a substantial component of each undergraduate degree program and is designed to ensure a breadth of knowledge to promote intellectual inquiry. As students develop into responsible professionals in the health sciences and related fields, these courses and the degree program ensures students are exposed to a broad understanding of society and self.

Program Vision

The general studies program at Carolinas College of Health Sciences will prepare students to be able to analyze their environment, embrace diversity, act ethically, think critically, and communicate professionally.

Program Outcomes

  • Ensure communities of interest have input into program goals and decisions.
  • Student graduate within 150% of the normal time to completion.
  • Students who complete the pre-nursing and pre-radiological technology tracks are eligible and prepared matriculate into their respective programs.
