Why Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast?: After my fourth year of pharmacy school, I was still undecided about what area of pharmacy I wanted to pursue. I knew I wanted to complete my PGY-1 training at a facility that was part of an extensive healthcare system, with a variety of clinical rotations that included both inpatient and ambulatory care experiences. Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast offered exactly what I was looking for in a PGY-1 residency program. In addition to the clinical experiences available, the preceptors are knowledgeable, supportive and genuinely want to help residents grow and develop as new practitioners. Another perk is being close enough to Charlotte to be able to enjoy the local eateries and entertainment! I’m so thankful to start my career at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast, and I’m looking forward to the year ahead.
