Atrium Health's primary care sports medicine fellowship is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

To apply:

Please visit the ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service) website to begin the fellowship application process. Our program participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) match process.

Applications are accepted July through September each year. For application and schedule dates, see the NRMP (above) schedule of dates from the website. Our program application deadline is September 30.

For selected applicants, interviews occur each year during the months of October and November.

Required materials:

  • ERAS application
  • Personal statement
  • Three letters of recommendation from physicians who have supervised you in a clinical setting, one of which must be from your program director
  • CV
  • USMLE scores

Criteria:

Candidates with the following experience will be considered:

  • Candidates with recent, successful completion of a family medicine, meds/peds, internal medicine or emergency medicine residency programs

Because of the amount of adult medicine in our ambulatory and sports medicine clinics, we do not accept applications from graduates of pediatric programs at this time. Please also note that we do not sponsor visas.
