- The Garden Café is located on the first floor in Carolinas Medical Center's lobby and is open from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Chick-fil-A is located at 1001 Blythe Blvd. in the Medical Center Plaza across the street from Carolinas Medical Center. It's open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Panera Bread is located on the first floor in the main lobby next to the Garden Café and is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Hospitality House of Charlotte is a nonprofit organization that since 1985 has sheltered over 37,000 families who have come to Charlotte in medical crisis. Their house is available for patients and family members who live outside Mecklenburg County. Conveniently located across the street from CMC and Levine Children's Hospital on Scott Avenue, Hospitality House provides a comfortable respite for family members; rooms are $40 per night. Ronald McDonald House, located at 1613 E. Morehead St., provides a "home-away-from-home" for families so they can stay close to their hospitalized child at little or no cost. Guests are referred to the House by the hospital and its use is only for out-of-town families of sick children. The House offers an extended network of support and connection to others going through similar hardships. In return for staying at the House, guests are asked to make a small donation, if possible.
