Opportunities abound for anyone wishing to volunteer time or fundraising talents at Atrium Health Stanly. Each year, volunteers provide thousands of hours of valuable service to our patients, visitors and staff.

Our volunteer program is open to adults and students alike. Hours and days are flexible.

Adult Volunteers

Adult volunteers need to be 18 years or older and able to donate eight hours a month of their time.

Volunteer opportunities for adults include:

  • Information desk
  • Same-Day Surgery Center registration desk
  • Cheer Shop
  • Nourishment cart
  • Messenger service

Fundraising opportunities include:

  • Jewelry sales
  • Book fairs
  • Flag sales

Teen Volunteers

Atrium Health Stanly's VolunTeen program is open to young people who are at least 15 years old and in their sophomore year of high school or later.

The summer volunteer program gives teens the opportunity to get hands-on experience in the healthcare field. Teens can apply for the program through their high school guidance counselor. Information and applications are mailed to area high school counselors by April each year.

Atrium Health Stanly Auxiliary and Cheer Shop Scholarship

The Atrium Health Stanly Auxiliary and Cheer Shop offer scholarships to Stanly County high school seniors each year. Applicants must reside in Stanly County and be pursuing a degree in a health-related field. Scholarships are based on financial need, academic achievement and extra-curricular activities. All monies are paid directly to the colleges/universities.
