Dr. Carter is board certified in family medicine and specializes in adult and pediatric care, sports medicine, dermatology, preventive medicine and in-office procedures.
He is the lab director at Atrium Health Harrisburg Family Physicians.
Dr. Carter enjoys being part of each patient's journey from birth to death and everything in between. He likes getting to know patients, walking them through good news and tough news and making changes that provide a lasting impact in the lives of others. He is inspired to use his skills and abilities to make a difference for the community and for individual patients.
He received his medical degree at East Carolina University and completed his residency at the Atrium Health Cabarrus Family Medicine Residency Program.
Dr. Carter enjoys spending time with his amazing wife who homeschools their 4 children. They spend time in nature hiking or exploring and share many activities as a family. He enjoys golf, tennis, soccer and volleyball along with playing several instruments in their church band. He has a childhood love for strategy games that has continued into adulthood and he enjoys exercising his brain every day.
