Knox is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She likes the variety of diagnoses in family medicine, enjoys caring for the whole family and loves to make a difference in people’s lives by helping them improve their health.
She was inspired to pursue nursing when she was in the 3rd grade and was very involved in caring for her grandmother during her last days.
She received her master’s degree in nursing at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her (MSN) as a family nurse practitioner at Western Carolina University.
Knox, her husband and 3 children enjoy spending time together outdoors hiking, biking, playing tennis and snow skiing. They attend a variety of sporting events and are avid University of North Carolina Tar Heel fans, where she and her husband are alumni and their oldest son is a student. They also enjoy traveling the country together and finding new vacation spots.
