Swafford is a board-certified physician assistant. He specializes in emergency medicine and urgent care. He has been named a distinguished fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, a governor-appointed board member of the Arizona Regulatory Board of PAs and past president of the Arizona State Association of PAs.
He received his physician assistant training at George Washington University and completed a residency at the University of Cincinnati.
Swafford chose to pursue his specialty after serving as a hospital corpsman in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.
Outside of work, he loves spending time with his family. He enjoys photography, yardwork and traveling. God and his wife are central to his existence.
