Dr. Russell is board certified in family medicine. She has clinical interests in sports medicine and specialized care and services for autistic adults and children.
She was inspired to choose family medicine by rural family doctors who were passionately invested in the communities they served. Dr. Russell loves connecting with others through helping them with their health care needs.
She received her medical degree at East Carolina University and completed her residency at St. Anthony Hospital.
Dr. Russell loves spending time with her family, which includes another Atrium Health doctor and 4 school-aged children. She enjoys reading, functional fitness and weightlifting.
