How is this different from a traditional practice?

At Perspective Health & Wellness, your doctor is never more than a phone call away. Because of the smaller size of our practice, we’re able to provide the personal care you want and unhurried visits. How do I become a member?

To become a patient at Perspective Health & Wellness, you’ll pay an annual membership fee. The membership fee is not covered by insurance.

Do you accept insurance?

We accept most medical insurance, including Medicare, and the billing in our practice functions just like any other primary care doctor’s office. All costs associated with medical services are billed to your insurance company.

Are the membership fees subject to change?

Yes. Our practice is committed to providing the highest level of care, which may affect our rates. However, the membership fee in place when you signed your patient agreement will be honored for a full year from the date of your agreement.

Can I use my health savings account (HSA) to pay the membership fee?

You may be able to use your HSA to pay the membership fee. Ask your financial advisor for guidance.

Will I pay for office visits?

Your insurance will be billed for your doctor visits. According to your health insurance plan, you may have to pay a copay or deductible.

Will I pay for my tests?

We will bill your insurance company for your tests, but some tests may not be covered by your insurance. If you have a test that is not covered by your insurance, you’re responsible for payment.

Can children join Perspective Health & Wellness?

Due to the specialties of our physicians, we only provide services to adults 18 and over. However, Levine Children’s Perspective Health & Wellness, a membership-based primary care option for children, offers personalized pediatric care. To learn more about becoming a patient, call 704-381-0500.

Will I be able to choose my doctor?

Yes. You may select any of the doctors at Perspective Health & Wellness who are accepting new patients.

Are your doctors board certified?

Yes. All of our doctors are board certified in internal medicine. We also have doctors who specialize in infectious disease and nephrology.

Do you make referrals to specialists?

Yes. Specialist referrals will be made as needed for your care.

Do you only make referrals to Atrium Health doctors?

We refer you to the most appropriate healthcare provider for your needs.

What happens if I become ill while traveling?

Our doctors want to ensure that you receive coordinated care and personalized attention no matter where you are. That means if you’re ill or injured while traveling, you should call your Perspective Health & Wellness doctor.

What happens when my doctor is on vacation?

If your doctor is away or unavailable, another doctor from Perspective Health & Wellness will care for you until your primary care doctor returns.

Do I have access to my medical records?

You can access portions of your electronic medical record online with MyAtriumHealth. That includes things like your medical history, test results and immunization records. You may also get a copy at our office.
