Dr. Meyer is trained in emergency medicine. He specializes in treating trauma.
His fascination with ambulances as a child led to his interest in studying emergency medicine. He worked previously as a paramedic, which motivated him to obtain subspecialty training.
Dr. Meyer received a bachelor’s degree in emergency medical services at Creighton University. He received his medical degree at the University of Illinois, where he completed residency and was chief resident. He has been an Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center Emergency Medical Services (EMS) fellow.
In his free time, Dr. Meyer is active in triathlons, running, swimming, cycling and challenging himself by rucking, hiking with a weighted backpack. He enjoys live music and spending time with his fiancée.
