A third-generation physician, Hadley Wilson, MD, FACC, is carrying on a family tradition of practicing medicine in North Carolina. Wilson joined Atrium Health's Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute as an interventional cardiologist where he rose to director of the cath lab and then served as chief of cardiology for over 15 years. For the last decade, Wilson has been clinical professor of medicine at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Wilson served as co-director of the annual Advanced Cardiovascular Interventions course at Hilton Head from 1992 to 2007, as the chief interventional cardiologist for the ACC North Carolina STEMI/RACE program for a statewide system of care from 2005 to 2015, and now the ACC/American Heart Association National STEMI Accelerator I and II programs covering over 30 million lives. Wilson has held numerous physician leadership roles internationally through the American College of Cardiology, including his time as secretary of ACC’s Board of Trustees (BOT) and chair of the College’s Board of Governors (BOG). He currently serves as a member of the ACC's Board of Governors and as the Chair for ACC's Membership Committee.
