Biography
“I face each day with a desire to make an impact, whether it’s bringing life into the world or solving complex health and well-being problems.”
Dr. Northcutt treats and cares for every aspect of women’s health, from puberty through menopause. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN).
Dr. Northcutt’s mom was a nurse who inspired him to have compassion for all people and to help others improve their lives. He enjoys helping women of all ages feel their best.
He received his medical degree from the University of South Carolina and completed his residency at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center.
Dr. Northcutt has been recognized for implementing innovative ways to reduce pain after C-sections and other gynecological surgeries and he has received the Atrium Health Pineville Physician Star Award. He also serves as a representative on the Regional Perinatal Collaborative Committee. He has a special interest in minimally-invasive laparoscopic surgeries, robotic surgeries and pelvic pain, including interstitial cystitis.
In his free time, Dr. Northcutt attends college football, basketball and baseball games, which he has done with his wife since they met in college. He also enjoys keeping up with his grandchildren, and the challenges of golf and playing guitar.
