“I became an outpatient pediatrician to use my gifts of patience and compassion and my talents in medicine and education to provide medical care to young children, domestically and abroad.”

Dr. Licata is board certified in pediatrics. He specializes in newborn care, early childhood development, ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), mental health disorders and the treatment of warts and molluscum contagiosum (water warts).

He received his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia and completed a residency at Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital.

He was drawn to pediatrics to make a positive difference in the lives of the next generation of young people.

Outside of work, he enjoys time with his wife, Ashley, and their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Dash, especially taking walks by the Catawba River. His favorite hobby is playing golf, and he likes to read detective novels and legal fiction.
