Biography

Thompson is a board-certified neonatology nurse practitioner. She was nominated for an Atrium Health Teal Acorn Award.
She has over 20 years of experience in neonatal intensive care units and was a traveling neonatal nurse practitioner as a contractor for the US Navy.
She received her graduate degree at the University of Phoenix.
Outside of work, she has been to Honduras annually for 18 years as a Christian missionary and team member in charge of a medical clinic. She adopted a little girl who is now 21 years old and in nursing school in Honduras. She is also the godmother to a former NICU patient.
Thompson loves the beach and martial arts and is a student of Tae Kwon Do. Additionally, she currently has 3 rescue horses.
