Dr. Mohindroo is board certified in family medicine. He specializes in urgent care, general adult and pediatric illnesses and sports physicals.
He is the assistant medical director of the Atrium Health Urgent Care Division and a certified medical examiner for the Department of Transportation.
As a boy, Dr. Mohindroo has a vivid memory of his mom and aunt taking care of his grandmother's foot after she had a toe amputation due to a diabetic toe infection. He knew at that time he wanted to help others, and family medicine was a great way for him to accomplish that. While in family medicine training, he enjoyed taking care of people with acute problems. It’s what led him to urgent care. Additionally, he feels his Mexican-Asian Indian heritage allows him to connect and serve patients from a diverse community.
He received his medical degree at the Universidad Iberoamericana and completed a residency at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Mohindroo is married with 3 children, and they love going to the beach and being outdoors. He’s a fitness enthusiast, a professional and collegiate sports aficionado and an advanced certified scuba diver.
