“I love promoting the well-being of children and families and advocating for each child no matter where they are in life. My goals are to prevent illnesses and help children lead healthier lives.”

Dr. Houston is board certified in pediatrics. She specializes in treating childhood illnesses including asthma, allergies, acne, infections, and overall growth and development, with a focus on childhood obesity.

She believes she was called by God to her work and considers herself blessed with the privilege to care for children and their families.

Dr. Houston has received the Atrium Health Teal Acorn Patient Satisfaction Award, and she has been recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for providing a patient-centered approach to care. She received her medical degree and completed residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

She is married to her high school sweetheart. In her free time, she enjoys family time spent traveling and attending sporting events with her husband and 2 children.
