Dr. Shimberg is board certified in internal medicine and provides comprehensive care for adults. He has a special interest in helping patients with hypertension, diabetes and chronic inflammatory lung disease.

Dr. Shimberg knew he wanted to be a physician when he was just a middle schooler. Today, he enjoys connecting with patients and helping them understand and improve their health.

Dr. Shimberg completed medical school at the University of South Florida, followed by a residency at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center.

Outside of the office, Dr. Shimberg enjoys CrossFit, hiking and reading both fiction and non-fiction. In fact, he loves to give book recommendations to patients.
