New Physician & APP Portal

The Physician & APP Onboarding Guide outlines important timeframes and steps involved in your onboarding process. This guide is designed to be a go-to resource throughout your onboarding journey and is designed to complement the support and information you receive from various individuals and departments within our organization. Please make sure to review this guide and follow up with your Onboarding Consultant if you have any questions.

In an effort to streamline your onboarding process, we have created an Onboarding Roadmap and accompanying Checklist. These documents provide information regarding essential steps, key contacts and tools you will need throughout your onboarding. We highly recommend you review them and follow up with your assigned Onboarding Consultant should you have any questions regarding the process.

Atrium Health uses Epic (Encompass) as our EMR. Training is completed with Epic University and includes online modules, a Virtual Instructor Led class (this may be a recorded class), and an Instructor Led Personalization and Technology session with an Atrium trainer.

If you have used Epic at a previous healthcare system within the last 2 years in the same role that you are working at Atrium Health, you might be eligible to test out of the training class.  Please reach out to the IAS Clinical Education Team for direction.  You will still be required to attend the personalization session after you complete the classroom training and assessment.

If you need further assistance, please contact the IAS Clinical Education Team:

You may also call the Atrium Health Service Center at 704-446-6161, option 5 for additional assistance 24/7.
