Atrium Health Teammates Practice Patient Safety Using Simulation-Based Training

Health care teams can learn safely, practice their skills and get hands-on learning without risk to real patients.

The world of health care is constantly changing with new medicines, procedures and equipment. Inside Carolinas Simulation Center, Atrium Health teammates practice and hone their skills on manikins (medical term for mannequin) used to represent real-world patient health scenarios. Training on medical manikins allows learners to perform procedures and learn from experience before interacting with live patients.
