Crystal Bencken is a registered nurse with a background in emergency nursing who has been with Atrium Health since 2007. After receiving a master’s degree in Nursing Education, she joined Carolinas Simulation Center in 2013. Her role includes oversight for center operations and the development, implementation, and evaluation of simulation curriculum. Her areas of interest are team training, in-situ simulation, systems testing, and the collaboration with Carolinas College of Health Science offering a bachelor’s degree and certificate in simulation. She is a Society for Simulation in Healthcare Accreditation site reviewer and a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator.
