Kendra Mickens is a simulation service line educator at Carolinas Simulation Center. Her nursing career has included a focus in women’s health, community nursing, and nursing education. Her first 13 years of nursing were spent in the specialized areas of high-risk obstetrics and gynecology, followed by school health. In 2014 her focus switched to nursing education, becoming a faculty member in a practical nursing program. Kendra initially joined Carolinas Simulation Center in 2017 after first being introduced to the team through her preceptorship in 2016. She has served as the simulation educator for the OB/GYN residency program, family medicine program, and the global health program.
