Description
heART: Turn the shape of a simple heart into a work of art, tapping into playful acrylic techniques. All experiences welcome!
Suggested Materials:
Paint Surface, such as canvas, watercolor paper, mixed media, etc.
Acrylic Paint
Paint Brushes
Water
Paper Towel/Rag
Crayons
Paint Pens or Permanent Pens (optional)
Mixed Media materials for collage and texture, ex: bubble wrap, cardboard, stamps, paper, etc. (optional)
*Note, these are suggested and optional materials. Not all are necessary. Please use what you already have on hand!
Speakers
Andrea Sowle
Andrea is and artist-in-residence at Levine Cancer Institute, serving at the Cabarrus and University locations, and through virtual classes. She encourages patients, staff, care-partners, and community members to use the creative process as therapy and a means of social connection. Andrea also enjoys gardening and spending time with family and friends around a campfire and playing games.
