Description
Collage Birds of a Feather and Fabric: Textile Fabric Collage
Collage is a great tool for self expression. Using fabric with various patterns and textures, participants will experiment with cutting and arranging various fabric pieces to create brilliantly colored collage birds. We will be using fabric glue to adhere fabric pieces to a 18 "x 24" cotton fabric surface.
This collage project will be ongoing for 3 or more sessions. All materials will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring any scrap fabric/ ribbon and Fabric scissors. Participants who are not able to attend all 3 sessions will have an opportunity to complete their creations on alternate days.

I am a Miami native happily living in Charlotte. I have always had a passion for art: as a student of art history, an art educator and visual artist. Inspiring g creativity with students in underserved communities, including young adults with intellectuals disabilities has enabled me to share my love for art with students of all ages and backgrounds. When I’m not working at LCI, you can find me painting in my studio at StudioWorks in Charlotte. I am a nature lover and love to hike and bike! This keeps me inspired in my art creations.
