This support group is designed for individuals navigating a blood cancer diagnosis to share experiences, receive emotional support, and build connection with others. Participants can explore coping strategies, receive education, and find strength in community. Please join us from 1:30 - 2:30pm on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. Please note this group is offered through a virtual format.



Special instructions

Atrium Health Support Groups, whether held virtually or in person, provide an optional forum for patients to receive support, ask questions, participate in discussions, hear from special guests on relevant topics, and find a safe space to heal. These groups are not intended for medical diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice.

Speakers

Bailey Hoesman, MSW, LCSWA

Bailey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate at Levine Cancer and has been with the team since June of 2025. While earning her master's degree from UNC Charlotte, she worked with the Center for Prevention Services as a Substance Use Prevention Educator in local elementary schools, and completed her practicum education as a Pediatric Behavioral Health Specialist with the Cabarrus Health Alliance. Bailey is passionate about supporting patients as they navigate the impacts of a cancer diagnosis, and strives to meet the social, emotional, and practical needs of her patients. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family and friends, and traveling.

Brittany Preslar, MSW, LCSW, LISW-CP

Brittany Preslar, MSW, LCSW, LISW-CP is an oncology social worker with Levine Cancer. She works closely with patients and families navigating cancer treatment, providing emotional support, coping strategies, and guidance through the challenges that can come with a diagnosis. Brittany is passionate about creating safe, supportive spaces where individuals can share openly, connect with others, and feel less alone in their experience.
