Description
Connecting Young Adults with Cancer meetup is a peer group for young adults that have been diagnosed with cancer as a teen or young adult. Our fantastic group comprises current and post treatment patients who look to connect with others who have faced similar battles. Talking with someone other than a parent, doctor, or friend that gets it, is crucial. Come hang out!

Abbie B. Mauney
As an AYA Brain Tumor survivor herself, Abbie just “gets it” …
All stages in the cancer continuum SUCK, but what helps is having someone to talk to that is NOT your doctor, family member, spouse or significant other, but someone who “gets it.”
Abbie said the best part about her job is connecting with peers, other patients, survivors, caregivers, and professionals where all experiences are honored, celebrated, and seeing the lasting friendships that blossom as a result.
These aren't support groups... CYAC meetups are a space to have fun and connect, without stigma or awkward questions. We don't shy away from hard conversations, but there will definitely be laughs 😊
