Gentle Yoga- Online through Advocate Cancer Survivorship Program
Virtually via Zoom
Description
Breath is an important tool to connect the body and mind. Studies have shown that the proper regulation of breath can stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system and lower level of anxiety as well as improve mood. Through the regular practice of breath work and body awareness, exercises can clarify the mind. In Gentle yoga you will learn breathing techniques to alleviate stress, clarify the mind and strengthen the immune system. Supported by simple yoga poses, yogic wisdom and practices we invite participants to experience the benefits of this practice. No prior yoga experience needed. All levels of fitness are welcomed.
