What Is This Service?
This is a virtual Lifestyle Medicine Preventive Webinar led by a Lifestyle Medicine clinician.
These sessions are designed to help participants build healthy habits, improve overall wellness, and lower the risk of developing chronic disease. They are focused on prevention, education, and healthy lifestyle choices rather than treating an existing illness or managing current symptoms.
Participants will also learn about Lifestyle Medicine services available through Atrium Health and how those services may support their personal health goals.
How to Register
Register for the webinar through this event page by selecting the date and topic you would like to attend.
After registering, you will receive an email with instructions for joining the webinar on your selected date.
Your visit will be added to the Lifestyle Medicine schedule within the Atrium Health medical record. You can view basic details of the visit on your MyAtrium Health portal. The link for attending is sent to the email you used to register for the webinar.
Before the Webinar
Prior to the webinar, you will be asked to complete an eCheck-In through MyAtriumHealth, similar to other healthcare appointments.
These forms help our team prepare for the session, complete required documentation, and better understand participant interests and goals.
What to Expect During the Webinar
Lifestyle Medicine Prevention Topic (Approximately 15 Minutes)
The first portion of the webinar focuses on a specific preventive health topic.
Topics rotate throughout the year and are designed to provide simple, realistic actions participants can apply in everyday life.
Lifestyle Medicine Services Overview (Approximately 15 Minutes)
The second portion of the webinar provides an overview of Lifestyle Medicine services available through Atrium Health.
Participants will learn about available programs, educational opportunities, group services, and other options that may help support their health and wellness goals.
Questions are encouraged throughout the webinar.
Documentation and Follow-Up
Participation will be documented in the Atrium Health medical record.
After the webinar, an After Visit Summary (AVS) will be available through MyAtriumHealth. The AVS may include educational materials, handouts, and resources reviewed during the webinar.
Insurance and Financial Information
This service is offered as a preventive group education visit.
Insurance coverage varies by plan. Participants are responsible for understanding their insurance benefits and any costs that may apply. The CPT code commonly used for this service is 99411.

Andrew Nance, MD, DipABLM is the founder and medical director of Atrium Health’s Lifestyle Medicine department. He is board certified in family medicine, addiction medicine, and lifestyle medicine. Dr. Nance is married with a daughter. Outside of work, he enjoys exercising on the greenway, gardening his favorite azaleas, and playing classical piano.
