Description
This class, taught by a certified childbirth educator, helps to prepare parents arrival of baby by providing education on:
- Late pregnancy
- What to expect in Labor and Delivery
- Labor, including coping and comfort strategies including relaxation and breathing techniques, other pain management options
- Delivery types
- Physical and emotional changes for you and your baby
- Warning signs and when to call your OB
- Question and answer session
- Brief information on other classes available for you
- Basic newborn information
- Abbreviated virtual maternity center tour as well as information about your hospital stay.
Please plan to schedule this class so that you will complete the class by your 34th-37th week of pregnancy if possible.
There will be class discussion, films on birth (both vaginal and cesarean section deliveries)
Special instructions
Please note: The last class of this series will be the Infant Care, Safety and CPR class.
