Are you 18-39 and coping with cancer?
A cancer diagnosis at a young age brings unique challenges. Join us for lunch and meet other young adults who understand!
What to Expect:
Healing Through Sharing: Discuss your journey in a safe and supportive environment.
Meet Virtually or In Person: Talk with peers who share similar experiences.
Brief Presentation: Learn about helpful resources and other topics.
Voice: Share your ideas for our Young Adult Program.
Facilitated by Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs): Our team is here to create a positive and confidential space for you to connect, encourage, and inspire one another.
This event is proudly presented in partnership by the Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Program of the Southeast Region and the Center of Supportive Oncology.
When: Thursday, January 9th, 2024, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., in-person with virtual option
Where: Atrium Health Levine Cancer, 1021 Morehead Medical Dr, Charlotte 28204, Building 1, Second Floor, Room 2323.
For: Atrium Health cancer patients, ages 18-39, newly diagnosed, in treatment, or beyond.
No-cost but online registration required.

Maya Sayani, MSW, LCSWA
Maya Sayani - MSW, LCSWA, graduated with a Masters of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2023. She has been working with Levine Cancer Institute for over two years, both as an intern and now as a full-time employee. "My goal is to provide the best possible support for patients and their care partners, with a strong commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of young patients through our new support group. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue learning and growing within this incredible organization."
Isabella Taylor, MSW, LCSWA
Isabella Taylor- MSW, LCSWA, graduated with a Masters of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2023. She has previous experience working with patients in a hospital setting and has provided care to patients at Levine Cancer Institute for over two years. "I'm so grateful to work for such an incredible organization. Working within the oncology population is a longtime passion of mine. I continue to be inspired each day by the resiliency and strength of all of our patients. I can't wait for the many opportunities of growth that our new support group will bring and the impact that it will have on our young adult population."
