Thank you for scheduling a video visit with Atrium Health! Video visits are a great way to see your healthcare provider from almost anywhere. And you only need three things:

  1. MyAtriumHealth account
  2. Device with a video camera (smartphone, tablet or computer)
  3. Internet connection

Follow the instructions below for help getting started.

You’ll need a MyAtriumHealth account to access and start your video visit. Make sure you have this at least 24 hours before your visit.

Don’t have a MyAtriumHealth account?

  1. Shortly after your video visit is scheduled, you’ll receive a text and/or email with a link to sign up for MyAtriumHealth.
  2. Click the link.
  3. Create a username and password.
  4. Verify your date of birth.
  5. Agree to the Terms and Conditions.
  6. Click Submit to create your account.

If you haven’t received the text or email to sign up, call your doctor’s office well before your appointment and ask for an account.

Already signed up for MyAtriumHealth?

If you already have a MyAtriumHealth account, make sure you know your username and password.

  • Forgot your username?
    1. Visit this page to recover your username.
    2. Enter your name, date of birth and email address. Your username will be sent to the email address on file.
  • Forgot your password?
    1. Visit this page to reset your password.
    2. Enter your username, date of birth and email address. You’ll be emailed a one-time security code to verify your identity.
    3. Enter the code and then create a new password.

All signed up? If you’re on a mobile device, download the MyAtriumHealth mobile app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play store (Android). If you’re on a desktop, go to My.AtriumHealth.org to log in.

Make sure your device’s microphone and camera are working before your visit. To test them out, start here and follow the prompts. Your browser will ask you to confirm permission to access your camera and microphone on your device. Select Allow.

If you’re on a computer, the only software you’ll need is a modern browser like Microsoft Edge, Apple Safari or Google Chrome. Older browsers like Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 are not supported.

On a mobile device, your visit will work on mobile browsers like Safari and Chrome.

Confirming your appointment lets us know you’ll be there and don’t need a reminder call. eCheck-In saves you time by checking in online before your visit.

  1. Log in to MyAtriumHealth.
  2. Click on your video visit under Upcoming Visits.
  3. Click the CONFIRM button and follow the steps. You can do this as soon as your visit is scheduled.
  4. Click the ECHECK-IN button and follow the steps. You can do this as early as 3 days before your visit. Completing ECHECK-IN is required to start your video visit.

When it’s time, starting your visit is easy:

  1. Log in to MyAtriumHealth.
  2. Click on your video visit alert.
  3. Click the BEGIN VIDEO VISIT button.

What to expect

  • Your web browser will open and begin to connect your call. Your browser will ask you to confirm permission to access your camera and microphone on your device. Select Allow.
  • Once your visit is started, you’ll be connected to a virtual waiting room. We’ll let your healthcare provider know you’re ready for your visit.
  • You should hear an announcement say, “Waiting for your call to begin.” If you don’t hear this in the first 30 seconds of the visit, please check the volume on your device.
  • You should see your self-view from your camera in the lower left corner of the screen. If you don’t see yourself, click the icon in the top right to access the settings menu. Make sure you granted the web browser on your computer or mobile device permission to access your camera and microphone.
  • Your healthcare provider will hop on shortly to answer your questions and give you the care you need!

Here’s what it looks like inside your visit, plus what each icon means.

I can’t connect to the visit.

  • Make sure you’re trying to connect at your scheduled appointment time.
  • Confirm your visit is a video visit and not in person.
  • Confirm your device is connected to the internet.
  • Try a self-test video visit here to check your microphone and video connection.

If you’re still having trouble, you may not be able to perform a video visit from your location or device. Call your doctor’s office for help or to reschedule your appointment.

The audio or video quality is poor.

  • Try a self-test video visit here to check your microphone and video connection.

My provider can’t see and/or hear me.

  • Make sure you granted your web browser permission to access your camera and microphone.
  • Within the visit, check your microphone and camera settings. Click the settings button in the top right to access them.
  • Make sure your microphone and camera are turned on.

I can’t hear my provider.

  • Make sure your speaker volume is turned up.
  • Check your speaker settings. Click the settings button in the top right to access them.
  • If your provider can hear you, let them know you can’t hear them. They can check their own microphone settings.

I hear an echo of myself during the visit.

  • Make sure your speaker volume isn’t too high.
  • Make sure your microphone isn’t too close to the speakers.

I accidentally disconnected the visit.

Go back to the MyAtriumHealth browser. Follow the process to begin your video visit again.

I accidentally closed the browser.

Reopen the browser and log back in to MyAtriumHealth. Follow the process to begin your video visit again.

It’s time for my visit but I don’t see a button to “Begin Video Visit”.

Make sure you have completed ECHECK-IN. ECHECK-IN is required for your Video Visit to check in to your visit. Once completed, you will see a “Begin Video Visit” button.
