Opportunities abound for anyone wishing to volunteer time or fundraising talents at Atrium Health Stanly. Each year, volunteers provide thousands of hours of valuable service to our patients, visitors and staff.

Our volunteer program is open to adults and students alike. Hours and days are flexible.

Adult Volunteers

Adult volunteers need to be 18 years or older and able to donate eight hours a month of their time.

Volunteer opportunities for adults include:

  • Pet therapy
  • Same-Day Surgery Center registration desk
  • Cheer Shop
  • Levine Cancer Center
  • Bivens Outpatient Center
  • Messenger service

Fundraising opportunities include:

  • Jewelry sales
  • Book fairs
  • Clothing Sales

Teen Volunteers

  • Atrium Health Stanly's Jr. Volunteer program is open to young people who are 16 years old
  • Jr. Volunteer opportunities include: Summer Hiking Program for Stanly County fourth and fifth graders at Morrow Mountain, Levine Cancer Center, Lobby Desk Reception

Atrium Health Stanly Volunteer Council and Cheer Shop Application

The Atrium Health Stanly Volunteer Council and Cheer Shop offer scholarships to Stanly County high school seniors each year. Applicants must reside in Stanly County and be pursuing a degree in a health-related field. Scholarships are based on financial need, academic achievement and extra-curricular activities. All monies are paid directly to the colleges/universities.
