Volunteers play an important role in our patient’s experience and are valued members of the team at Atrium Health Union, Union West and Waxhaw. No matter how small a service provided by a volunteer may seem, it can be an integral part of the healing process for patients. A volunteer’s selfless service upholds our mission of providing health, hope and healing – for all.

Most volunteer positions are available during the weekdays, with limited evening and weekend shifts. There are a variety of opportunities to help.

Volunteer schedules vary by department needs. Shifts are generally 4 hours, once a week.
