Diagnostic Testing
Jan & Ed Brown Center for Pulmonary Medicine offers exercise testing and pulmonary function testing to detect and diagnose
disorders in the lungs and chest.
- Exercise testing
measures your body's functions while riding a stationary bike or walking on a treadmill. It provides information about your
breathing patterns, heart function and your general physical condition.
- Pulmonary function testing
measures how well you move air in and out of your lungs and how oxygen moves from your lungs into your blood. These tests
include spirometry, lung volume testing and diffusion capacity.
