“I am passionate about improving and maximizing my patients’ quality of life. Any chronic disease places a significant burden on the child and the family. My goal is to do everything possible to support and encourage them to maintain full participation across all aspects of life.”
Dr. Mavis is board certified in general pediatrics, pediatric gastroenterology (digestive disorders) and pediatric transplant hepatology (liver disease and transplant).
During her pediatric residency, she met a patient whose liver failure motivated her to study the disease, science and lifelong care for people with liver conditions.
Dr. Mavis received her medical degree at the University of Oklahoma. She completed residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
She enjoys spending her time away from work with her husband and dog. They like traveling, running and relaxing at the beach.
