Dr. Mistretta is board certified in internal medicine. She specializes in adult medicine, including chronic illnesses. She’s also skilled in preventive care and women's health.
She is the site-based medical director at Atrium Health Primary Care Mecklenburg Medical Group Uptown and the lab director at Atrium Health Primary Care Mecklenburg Medical Group Clinics.
Dr. Mistretta chose internal medicine because she enjoys managing a wide range of medical problems and seeing patients on a long-term basis.
She received her medical degree at Mercer University and her master’s degree in public health at Georgia State University. She completed a residency at Atrium Health.
Dr. Mistretta is married with 4 children. She enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and doing home improvement projects. She travels as often as possible, speaks French and enjoys learning about other cultures.
