“Oncology and palliative medicine can be difficult but witnessing the strength and grace of my patients and having the privilege of helping them through some of the most trying times makes this specialty so unique. Not only does my job allow me to grow my love of science, but it teaches me daily how to love other people as well. The relationships I have with my patients make this truly special.”
Morris is a board-certified physician assistant. She specializes in hematology-oncology (cancer and blood disorders) and palliative medicine.
Morris loves working with the patient population at Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute.
She has always been fascinated by the ever-changing science of oncology and palliative medicine.
She is involved in research regarding the use of advance directive documents and advance care planning for oncology patients. Addressing this difficult subject early and often in the treatment of disease provides patients and their loved ones with clarity and comfort when it comes time to use these end-of-life documents.
Morris received her bachelor’s degree at the University of South Carolina Honors College and her master’s degree in medical science at North Greenville University.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, exploring all that the Charlotte, NC area has to offer. She especially enjoys spending time outdoors, going to sporting events and trying new restaurants.
