Dr. Caprio loves the opportunity to provide patient-centered medical care and promote health while also teaching the next generation of doctors to provide the highest quality of care for older adults.
He has won numerous awards, including Atrium Health's Teacher of the Year Award in the Department of Family Medicine and Top Doctor in Geriatric Medicine by Charlotte Magazine.
He received his medical degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo and completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Rochester.
Dr. Caprio enjoys spending time with family, going for nature walks and music.
