Being able to walk with families through their difficult journeys is very rewarding. There is nothing better than seeing photos of babies who were sickest now thriving at home with their families.
I am board certified in general pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine. I focus on treating patients in hospitals and urgent care settings.
I am the medical director of neonatal quality improvement at Atrium Health. Additionally, I serve as the site sponsor for the Children's Hospital Neonatal Consortium (CHNC).
My research interests include quality improvement and patient safety.
I received a Master of Business Operational Excellence (MBOE) at The Ohio State University and my medical degree at the State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate. I completed residency in pediatrics at Nemours Children's Health at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. I then completed a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine and a clinical fellowship in quality and safety leadership at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
Away from work, I enjoy spending time outdoors and staying active with my husband and two children.
